What Happens Next
Many can only wonder what can happen next. Some may assume that the death of Saddam would help bring peace to the Middle East, after all with no leader to fight for, what is the point in fighting. However Saddam is not all to blame in this, both the US and the UK are sending in troops constantly to battle the ‘threat’ in Iraq, a decision that many would call foolish. So to assume that just because a tyrant is dead that the rest of the country will fall in line is a very naïve idea, after all instead of fighting for Saddam, Iraqi soldiers may just presume they are avenging Saddam, the traditional theory of chopping off the head and the body will die just isn’t right for this situation. But that may just be some of us over speculating the decision.
Either way just because we have got rid of one dictator, it still doesn’t mean we have got rid of them all, some of them are closer than we think, and some of them are letting this carry on longer than necessary.
